Espresso is an interior design consultancy specialising in contemporary furniture for kitchens, bedrooms and living spaces.

Based in London and Cape Town, current Espresso projects include residential and corporate refurbishments in the UK and South Africa and a 19 unit new build estate in Tuscany.

Espresso is managed by Andrew Hamilton Barr, James Ramsay and Matt Newell.

The design process is led by Andrew who recently won the Best Contemporary Room Award at Londonís Design and Decoration awards for his work on a Cape Town beach house.

James manages client relationships, bringing fifteen years experience of business development and project management to ensure every client is delighted with the completed project.

Matt is responsible for project fulfillment and organizes installations on a world-wide basis. He has 28 years of specialist experience and is an accomplished craftsman.

Espresso Designs' key ranges offer the latest Italian functionality, practicality and style, brought to life by award winning UK designers. We work with you to manage complete projects from inception to conclusion as well as collaborating with other professional specifiers, architects and designers. Our skills and understanding of how to create beautiful spaces is the result of 15 years of practical experience leading clients through the complex and often disruptive process of renovating their homes.

Kitchens.

Euromobils contemporary, minimalist kitchens place firm emphasis on the practical dynamic essential to a great kitchen, without losing sight of the aesthetics. Finishes range from natural veneers to bold lacquers.

Wardrobes, living and bedroom furniture

Zalf wardrobe systems are designed and made in Italy and are available in London only through Espresso Design. Zalf also has other contemporary furniture for the bedroom and living spaces modern homes, including home office solutions.

Sofa's and chairs

Desiree offers a luxury range of award winning sofas and chairs. In addition to several Red Dot awards, the UNA chair, designed by Edoardo Gherardi, was preselected for the Golden Compass Award and was published in the volume Codex ADI design 06/08.

Silenia wardrobes

Silenias' supremely elegant pieces conceal the latest interior options and state of the art hardware. They are available in a range of exotic timbers and lacquers.

Tonon

Tonon is one of the best known international furniture brands, synonymous with design and quality. Although the company originated in the twenties, Tonon today bases itself on research and experience, on cultural and marketing factors, on new materials and new technologies.
The products have as a common denominator the ability to enhance interior decoration. Cape Town companies beat strong opposition from Europe's leading interior and architectural practices at last weeks international Design and Decoration Awards in London.
A kitchen created by Andrew Hamilton Barr for a Camps Bay house designed by Peerutin Architects, won the best 'Single Room Interior' category at the highly prestigious Design and Decoration Awards.

The awards are sponsored by the UK's Independent on Sunday newspaper and attract entries from leading designers all over the world.
The project brief was to create a kitchen which offered functionality, practicality and glamour. The judges loved the design, saying 'the interior space moves effortlessly into the extensive sea and mountain views' and 'highlights the fact that kitchens are for so much more than cooking'
Francois Hugo commented 'Recently Cape Town has been firmly placed on the international design map, and this is only one of the many great designs that has been bred in this invigorating atmosphere."
